What is a "flat fee"?

We offer flat fees for most of the services offered.  This means that we agree on a price for the service up front. Much of the legal world operates off a billable hour, and while that's great for the attorney, it is often bad for the client. By using a flat fee, you know what you are getting into before any work in undertaken on your behalf. Naturally, there are situations and circumstances that require an hourly rate, but rest assured that no time will be billed without your consent.

What can I expect from a free initial consultation?

The initial consultation will generally take between 1 to 2 hours depending on your needs. We will discuss the circumstances that brought you to seek legal help, and, hopefully, exchange enough information to give us a good sense of how we might be able to help you. We may request that you assemble certain documents prior to our meeting, but this is done to make the best use of our time.
