Here are some common questions. If you need more detail, please get in touch with me directly.

What is a "flat fee"?

I offer a flat fee for most of the services I perform. That means that we agree on a price for the service up front. So much of the legal world operates off a billable hour. That's great for the attorney, but often bad for the client. By using a flat fee, you know what you are getting into before any work in undertaken on your behalf. Naturally, there are situations and circumstances that require an hourly rate, but rest assured that no time will be billed without your consent.

Do you really make house calls?

Yes, I really do. Part of my philosophy is to not only make legal services more affordable, but also more accessible. I offer flexible appointment times and I am also willing to travel to a location that is convenient for you whether that be your home, your place of employment, or the local coffee shop.

What can I expect from a free initial consultation?

Our initial consultation will generally take between 1 to 2 hours depending on your needs. We will discuss the circumstances that brought you to me, and, hopefully, exchange enough information to give me a good sense of how I might be able to help you. I may request that you assemble certain documents prior to our meeting, but this is done to make the best use of our time.
